For 3 days of the show visotors had an opportinity to get acquainted with new collections of headwear of fur, felt, velour, straws, textile as well as with fur and leather semi-finished goods.
Within the bounds of the exhibition more than 300 new collections of headwear were presented, commercial demonstrations held gave trade representatives a chance to get acquainted with the latest trends in detail, and manufacturers could accept advance orders for autumn/winter 2008/2009 season products.
Companies "Korona" St. Petersburg, "Mekhico" Kirov, "Lyuik" Moscow, "Stana Mekhov" (Fur Country) Moscow has demonstrated their collections on the catwalk.
Also participants and visitors were offered a business programme. Round tables on the issues and problems of headwear industry development and selling of headwear were held by the Union of headwear manufacturers and Association of headwear and garments accessories manufacturers. Michael Hasse’s Furriery school presented a master-class seminar “Autumn/winter 2008/2009 trends in furriery”, and associate professor of Moscow State University of Service E. Bulatova held a seminar “New methods of modeling and designing of headwear and its application for automated modeling”. As compared with the year 2007 the exhibition venue had a 30% increase and participants number had as well increased for 25%.More than 2000 professional visitors has been registered. The exhibition was also visited by people famous in fashion industry: leading Russian couturier Vyacheslav Zaitsev, President of Natinal Institute of Design Lyudmila Merkulova, State Award of Russia laureate, honourary member of Russian Academy of Art Irina Krutikova.
According to the data collected during the exhibition work the main percentage of visitors are from Moscow and suburb area. Then follow – Nizhniy Novgorod, Saint-Petersburg, Kirov, Omsk, Ekaterinburg, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Archangelsk, Chelyabinsk, Naberezhnye Chelny. Invitation to the exhibition has been accepted by specialists from Perm, Krasnodar, Altai, Khabarovsk and Primorye regions, as well as from Bashkortostan, Kazakhstan, Mari-El and Sakha Republics, Tatarstan, Komi Republic, Chuvashia, Yamal-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Areas. WHOLESALE SEASON was visited by trade organizations’ representatives from Belarus, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland.
