 CHAPEAU Anniversary Season

It has been the fifth time international specialized exhibition of headwear, raw materials, accessorizes and
equipment has confirmed its successfulness.

Strengthening the position by increased number of participants and exhibition area CHAPEAU exhibition has
determined its position in the Russian market.

Not only the majority of Russian manufacturers of headwear, but also well-known foreign trade marks and brands from Italy, Germany, France, India, Turkey, Finland and Austria participated in the show.

On the central Moscow exhibition venue CHAPEAU-2007 has gathered more than 340 companies, which is 10% more than the previous year. Exhibition area has increased for 15% and counted 4500 sqr.m. The number of visitors was 5000 daily approximately.

 
   The main part of the guests are headwear specialists, trade centres buyers, fashion industry representatives, designers, specialized universities students, media representatives working in fashion industry sector.

Honored guests of the show Mrs Carole Denford and Mr Nigel Denford – editors of The Hat Magazine (United Kingdom) have expressed their opinion on the exhibition as follows: “Because of our work we visit a lot of similar events all over the world, but this one is the biggest and probably the best one we have seen so far”.

Of course the podium of Chapeau offered a unique overview of fine collections of famous brands, such as Slava Zaitsev, MKS (S.-Petersburg), Violetta Litvinova, Leon-Elite, Tonak and many others.

As Director General of the exhibition organizer KORDON company Amiran Kortiashvili has mentioned: “The exhibition grows both physically and intellectually in many aspects owing to the jury work; professional level of the jury increases constantly”.

Grand Prix of the PODIUM CHAPEAU competition – The Crown of the Headwear Empire according to the Judging panel's decision was given to the organizer of the exhibition – KORDON company.

   According to the results of the CHAPEAU-2007 exhibition DIVA (Moscow), EKATERINA Trade House (Moscow), ELENA KONARYOVA’s studio of authoring knitted fabric (Novosibirsk) were nominated for the National Prizes in the fashion industry which is to be awarded in the bounds of the X International Festival Velvet Seasons in Sochi (6-13 October, 2007).

Expert Committee under the leadership of Andrey Malykh, Deputy director of KORDON and Lyudmila Merkulova, National Institute of Modern Design President has determined laureates of premiere contest for design universities students “CHAPEAU exhibition Corporate style”: work by OKSANA BAZILYUK student of National Institute of Design will be utilized in developing CHAPEAU-2008 image.

   According to the Agreement between KORDON and the United Nations Public Awarding Union experts of the Representative office of the Union in the sphere of design conducted their work at CHAPEAU-2007 as they did in 2006.

   The President of the United Nations Public Awarding Union, President of the All-Russia quality organization Gennadiy Voronin and the Head of the Representative office of the United Nations Public Awarding Union in the sphere of design Evgeniy Gusev have awarded diplomas to the exhibition participants:
- ARTMEKH (Moscow) – For high level of design of headwear and accessorizes;

- IRINA DEINEGA (Diva company, Moscow) – Best Designer;

- KORDON (the organizer of CHAPEAU-2007) – for high level of organizing and holding international
exhibitions.

Resuming the competition programme of CHAPEAU-2007 jury chairman Vyacheslav Zaitsev noticed: “The show has reached international level, its quality has increased exceptionally, and I am glad that for all these years I have been participating in the process of this event formation. I call everyone to not to avoid competition fighting, since it is always a pleasant thing! Be generous and open, give yourself away entirely! Thank you for the joy of communion to the true beauty, that we have been witnessing during all these days!..”

   The exhibition organizer KORDON company also confirms CHAPEAU success and evaluates it highly.

   The show serves to creating a confident atmosphere of international business and what is not less important is attractive for fashion industry representatives. The exhibition dates are called to meet the headwear industry requirements, they are connected to traditional schedule of orders and corresponds with the fashion industry prospects.International specialized exhibition CHAPEAU has acquired a reliable reputation in the Russian market and become a starting point for participants and visitors communication. It is here where new contacts are established and old are maintained, it is here where new partners are looked for and found.
